For the purposes of this Subpart, the following words shall have the following meaning: (1) "Commission" shall mean the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice. (2) "Out-of-home placement" shall mean placement of a child in a juvenile detention center, or commitment of the child to the legal custody of the office of juvenile justice, pursuant to Titles VII and VIII of the Louisiana Children's Code. A child is deemed in the legal custody of the office of juvenile justice from the day of judicial commitment, whether or not the child is in the physical custody of the office of juvenile justice. (3) "Program" shall mean the Juvenile Justice Reinvestment Program, a fiscal incentive program to fund local efforts that enhance public safety while reducing juvenile justice system costs.
