A. Supervised release shall be administered by the division of probation and parole, Department of Public Safety and Corrections. B. Supervised release officers shall be officers in the division of probation and parole, Department of Public Safety and Corrections, and shall be called supervised release officers for the purposes of this Chapter but shall have all powers and duties of parole officers as provided by law. C. Supervised release officers shall be assigned to persons placed upon supervised release in accordance with rules adopted by the Department of Public Safety and Corrections pursuant to R.S. 15:561.6.
