A. It shall be unlawful for any ambulance driver, owner, or any other person engaged in providing ambulance services to refer to an attorney at law any person involved in an accident in connection with which he has provided ambulance services, when the ambulance driver, owner, or other person receives any compensation for such referral. B. Whoever violates the provisions of this Section shall be fined not more than five thousand dollars or imprisoned for not more than five years, with or without hard labor, or both.
