Release of seized property to intervener, or plaintiff in injunction, claiming ownership

The intervener, or plaintiff in injunction, who claims the ownership of property under seizure, regardless of the writ or process under which it has been seized, at any time more than ten days after the filing of his petition, may obtain the release of such property by furnishing security exceeding by more than one-half the value of such property. The security furnished shall be conditioned upon the prompt return of the property when called for by the sheriff. The right granted under this section shall not prejudice the right of any other person to obtain the release of such property by furnishing security therefor, as provided by law.
