§2618. Territorial jurisdiction; LaSalle Parish justice of the peace courts A. The territorial limits of the justice of the peace courts in LaSalle Parish shall be as follows: (1) The first justice of the peace district and court shall consist of Precincts 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 4-1, 4-2, and 4-4. (2) The second justice of the peace district and court shall consist of Precincts 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, and 4-3. (3) The third justice of the peace district and court shall consist of Precincts 7-1, 7-2, 8-2, 8-3, 8-5, 8-6, and 8-7. (4) The fourth justice of the peace district and court shall consist of Precincts 5-1, 6-1, 6-2, and 10-1. (5) The fifth justice of the peace district and court shall consist of Precincts 9-1, 9-2, 9-3, 9-4, and 9-5. B. The districts provided in Subsection A of this Section shall be effective for election purposes with the opening of the qualifying period for the regularly scheduled 2014 primary election for justices of the peace and constables, and the persons elected to the offices of justice of the peace and constable for such justice of the peace courts in LaSalle Parish at the next regularly scheduled election and their successors shall be elected from the districts provided in Subsection A of this Section. The provisions of Subsection A of this Section shall be effective for all other purposes beginning January 1, 2015.
