Employment of attorney at law; compensation

The clerk of the criminal district court for the parish of Orleans is hereby authorized to employ an attorney at law in connection with the operation of said office. The compensation of said attorney at law is hereby fixed at the sum of three thousand dollars per annum which shall be paid by the city of New Orleans, subject, however, to the approval of the commission council of the city of New Orleans.
