Board of trustees; composition

A. The said "Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund of the City of West Monroe, Louisiana", shall be, and the same is, hereby created a corporate body politic and shall be composed of: (1) The Mayor or Chief Executive of the said City, who shall ex-officio be President of said Board. (2) The City Clerk of said City, who shall ex-officio be Treasurer thereof. (3) One member of the Board of Aldermen of said City to be selected by the Mayor with Council approval. (4) The Chief of the said Fire Department. (5) Five active members of said Fire Department not above the rank of Station Captain, to be elected by the members of said Department as hereinafter provided for. B. The City Clerk shall serve as Secretary of the board without pay and shall be liable on his official bond for his acts as custodian of the fund.
