A. On its own motion, or on the motion of the child or the district attorney, the court may order the parent of a child concerning whom a petition has been filed to provide necessary medical or surgical care. B. If the parent fails to provide such care, the court may, after due notice to the parent, order the care and order the parent to pay all or part of the expense.
