A. Following the adjudication, the court may order such physical and mental examination and evaluation of any child of the family and his caretaker as may be helpful in determining a fair and just disposition. B. After giving the caretaker a reasonable opportunity to be heard, the court may order that he shall contribute to the cost of any court-ordered examination or evaluation in an amount commensurate with his ability to pay.
