Immunity from civil or criminal liability

A. A board member, staff member, or volunteer of a child advocacy center shall not be liable for civil damages, while acting in the official scope of his or her duties, if the person in good faith makes a recommendation, gives an opinion or releases or uses information for the purpose of protecting a child. B. The limitation of civil liability in Paragraph A of this Article does not apply if a board member, staff member, or volunteer of a child advocacy center acts with gross negligence or in bad faith.
