A. Except as otherwise provided in this Code, the return day of the appeal shall be thirty days from the date the appeal is granted, if no costs are required, or from the date estimated costs are paid, unless the trial court fixes a lesser period. B. The trial court may grant only one extension of the return day, and such extension shall not exceed thirty days. Subsequent extensions of the return day may be granted by the appellate court for sufficient cause.
