Transfers to courts exercising criminal jurisdiction

A. When the defendant is entitled to a trial by a jury, as defined in Article 1530, but knowingly and intelligently waives that right pursuant to Article 1531, the juvenile court may proceed with trial. B. In cases where the defendant elects to exercise his right to a trial by jury, the court shall transfer the case to the proper court exercising criminal jurisdiction.
