Close pursuit of person from another state; authority to arrest

A. A state, county, or city peace officer of another state of the United States who enters this state in close pursuit of a person and continues within this state in close pursuit to arrest him on the ground that he is reasonably believed to have committed a felony in the other state, shall have the same authority to arrest and hold the person in custody as has a peace officer of this state to arrest and hold a person in custody on the ground that he is reasonably believed to have committed a felony in this state. B. This Article shall not be construed so as to make unlawful any arrest in this state that would otherwise be lawful.
