Kentucky Code § KRS 77.200

Authority to contract with city or county for assistance in regulation of installations

(1) The air pollution control board may contract with the county in which the air pollution control district is located, and may contract with any city within th e district, and the county and any such city may contract with the air pollution control district, for the performance of such work in the name of, and subject to the approval of, the air pollution control officer by the building department or other officer, department, or agency of the county or such city charged with the enforcement of regulations pertaining to the erection, construction, reconstruction, movement, conversion, alteration, or enlargement of buildings or structures, as will accomplish all or part of the purposes of KRS 77.195. (2) In a county with a board formed pursuant to KRS 77.070, the contracts may provide for the consideration, if any, which the air pollution control district shall pay to the county or city. (3) In all other counties such contracts may provide for the consideration, if any, which shall be paid to the city. In no event shall any consideration be paid by the district to such counties for such services.
