(1) No agency of a unit of local government, other than the sheriff, shall provide security services for the Court of Justice, a courthouse, or a courtroom unless the provision of the service is specifically authorized by the Kentucky Revised Statutes. (2) No agency of state government, other than the Department of Kentucky State Police or the Adminis trative Office of the Courts, shall provide security services for the Court of Justice, a courthouse, or a courtroom unless the provision of the services is specifically authorized by the Kentucky Revised Statutes. (3) This section shall not preclude any p eace officer, upon request of a court security officer or justice or judge of the Court of Justice, from providing security or law enforcement service for a specific incident or series of specific incidents. (4) This section shall not preclude any peace of ficer from taking law enforcement action in a courthouse or courtroom upon viewing the commission of an offense, or upon service of a warrant or civil or criminal process.
