A legislator shall not intentionally disclose or use confidential information acquired in the course of his official duties, if the primary purpose of the disclosure is to further his own economic interest or that of another person. Information shall be d eemed confidential if it is not subject to public disclosure pursuant to the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.872 to 61.884, at the time of its disclosure or use. Violation of this section is a Class D felony.
