(1) If a party to a civil action obtains a continuance, or files an amendment that causes a continuance, he shall pay the costs occasioned thereby. (2) If an action is dismissed for want of jurisdiction, the party in error shall pay the costs. (3) If a party obtains further time to plead or to amend his pleadings, he shall pay the costs occasioned thereby.
