(1) A person is guilty of failure to maintain a register of metals and objects containing metal when the person fails or refuses to: (a) Obtain the information required by KRS 433.890; (b) Keep the records required by KRS 433.890 for the period of time required in KRS 433.890; (c) Provide the required records to the police department or sheriff as required by KRS 433.890; (d) Provide access to a peace officer to re cords required to be kept pursuant to KRS 433.890; or (e) Dispose of the records required to be maintained pursuant to KRS 433.890 in a manner meeting the requirements of KRS 433.890. (2) Failure to maintain a register of metals and objects containing meta l is a Class B misdemeanor.
