(1) The Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs is established within the Finance and Administration Cabinet to provide executive direction and coordination of the cabinet's legislative priorities. (2) The Office of Legislative and Intergovernmenta l Affairs, in close communication with the secretary, shall: (a) Proactively pursue the goals of the cabinet by working with members of the General Assembly and the staff of the Legislative Research Commission; (b) Oversee all public information issues; (c) Manage requests for information; and (d) Prepare press releases, respond to press inquiries, and coordinate the publication of newsletters, reports, Web site information, and other statewide communications of the Finance and Administration Cabinet.
