Holding restrictions

(1) A crematory authority shall not accept human remains for cremation unless the human remains are contained within a closed cremation container. (2) A crematory authority shall not accept for holding a cremation container from which there is any evidence of leakage of the body fluids from the human remains therein. (3) Human remains that are not embalmed may not be held at a crematory that does not have a refrigerated holding facility. (4) The crematory authority shall ensure that holding facilities are secur e from access by anyone other than crematory authority personnel.
