Telemarketer prohibited from contacting credit card issuer to obtain account number -- Issuer prohibited from providing account number

(1) A telemarketer shall not contact a credit card issuer, in writing or by telephone, facsimile, computer, or by any other means, for the purpose of obtaining a consumer's credit card account number. (2) A credit card issuer shall not provide a consumer's credit card account number to a telemarketer.
