(1) An applicant failing an examination up to two (2) times may apply for reexamination. (2) After July 12, 2006, an applicant failing an examination three (3) or more times, regardless of the jurisdiction where each examination is administered, may be approved for reexamination upon submitting a new application. The new application shall include evidence that the applicant has acquired additional knowledge. The board shall promulgate administrative regulations specifying the type and extent of additional knowl edge and qualifications required to apply for reexamination under this subsection. (3) Reexaminations under this section shall be granted upon payment of a fee to be determined by administrative regulations promulgated by the board.
