(1) The board shall administer, coordinate, and enforce the provisions of this chapter, evaluate the qualifications of applicants, and may issue subpoenas, examine witnesses, and administer oaths, and shall investigate persons engaging in practices which violate the provisions of this chapter. (2) The board shall conduct hearings in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B and keep records and minutes as shall be necessary to an orderly dispatch of business. (3) The board shall promulgate administrative regulations to c arry out the provisions of this chapter. (4) Every person who holds a mandatory certificate to practice respiratory care in this state shall be governed and controlled by the rules of professional conduct promulgated by the board. (5) The enumeration of specific powers elsewhere in this chapter shall not be construed as a limitation of the general powers conferred by this section. (6) The board shall fix appropriate and reasonable fees for mandatory certification, and shall periodically review and modify these fees as necessary.
