Kentucky Code § KRS 220.535

Petition for annexation of territory to district

When the board of directors of a district in a county not containing a city of the first class desires to annex territory to the district, it shall cause to be filed with the commissioner a petition setting forth a reasonably accurate description of the te rritory proposed to be annexed, together with a statement of the reasons constituting the necessity for annexation of the territory. No such petition shall be declared void on account of alleged defects, but the commissioner may at any time permit amendments in form and substance to conform to the facts, by correcting any errors in the description of the territory or in any other particular.
