(1) No licensed long -term care facility shall operate except under the supervision of a long-term care administrator, unless approved by the board through administrative regulation, and no person shall be a long -term care administrator unless he or she is the holder of a long-term care administrator's license issued pursuant to this chapter. (2) This section shall not apply to assisted living communities licensed under KRS 194A.700 to 194A.729.
