Legal representation of local health department in enforcement

The city, county, and Commonwealth's attorneys and the Attorney General, within their respective jurisdictions, shall represent the local health department in the enforcement of the provisions of KRS 215.520 to 215.600. However, a local health department m ay employ an attorney to represent it in proceedings under KRS 215.520 to 215.600 and pay the attorney reasonable compensation for the attorney's services.
