Kentucky Code § KRS 211.170

Functions of cabinet relating to local health departments

In relation to local health departments, the cabinet shall, among other things: (1) Establish policies governing the activities and practices of such departments; (2) Supervise their financial, personnel, program, administrative and other functions; (3) Establish standards of operation in accordance with KRS 212.120; (4) Evaluate the organization and activities of local health departments; (5) Conduct state and district conferences for local health officers and local health department personnel; (6) Allocate, modify or cancel allotments of state funds to local health departments pursuant to KRS 212.120; and (7) Promote the establishment of local health departments.
