Kentucky Code § KRS 21.380

Normal retirement age

(1) The normal retirement date or age of a member shall be his sixty -fifth birthday, except that the normal retirement age for a member who began participating in the Judicial Retirement Plan prior to January 1, 2014, shall be reduced by one (1) year, but no more than five (5) years total, for: (a) Each five (5) years of service credit in the plan; and (b) Each year of service credit the member has earned beyond that needed to receive a retirement benefit of one hundred percent (100%) of final compensation. (2) KRS 21.350 to 21.480 do not require that a member retire at the normal retirement date.
