(1) The clerk of the court in which hearings for violation of KRS 189A.010 are heard shall report to the Administrative Office of the Courts on or within five (5) working days of January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1 of each year the cases involving violations of KRS 189A.010 which have not resulted in a final ruling by the court within one hundred eighty (180) days of the date upon which the person was charged with a violation of KRS 189A.010. (2) The Administrative Office of the Courts shall forward a copy of the lists of these cases to the Chief Justice and the Office of the Attorney General. (3) Upon a determination that there is sufficient cause, the Office of the Attorney General may appoint a special prosecutor or prosecutors to assist in the disposition of these cases within a reasonable time period. (4) The Chief Justice may take actions deemed necessary and reasonable to facilitate the resolution of these cases within a reasonable time period.
