The department is authorized to establish an interim records center or centers for the storage, processing, and servicing of records of state and local agencies pending their deposit in the State Archives and Records Center or their disposition in any othe r manner authorized by law, and to establish, maintain and operate centralized microfilming, photostating, indexing, decontamination and lamination and any other records repair and rehabilitation services for state and local agencies.
