Records kept by schools and instructors -- Retention requirements -- Confidentiality

(1) Every CDL driver training school and CDL driver training instructor shall maintain records showing the name, address, and instruction permit or operator's lic ense number of each person to whom instruction is given. The records shall also indicate the type of instruction given and the length of time of the instruction. (2) The records required by this section shall be maintained in a manner identical to the retention requirements the Kentucky Community and Technical College System complies with for student records under KRS Chapter 171. The records shall also be available for inspection by the commission, but shall otherwise remain confidential.
