As used in KRS 164A.555 to 164A.630 unless the context otherwise requires: (1) "Governing board" means the board of trustees or board of regents constituting the corporate bodies established by KRS 164.160 and 164.310 for the purpose of governing universities and colleges and technical institutions. (2) "Institutions" means all public supported postsecondary educational institutions in Kentucky recognized in KRS 164.100, 164.290, 164.580, or 164.810(1)(a). (3) "Affiliated corporation" means a corporate enti ty which is not a public agency and which is organized pursuant to the provisions of KRS Chapter 273 over which an institution exercises effective control, by means of appointments to its board of directors, and which could not exist or effectively operate in the absence of substantial assistance from an institution. (4) "Depository bank" means any bank so designated by the Treasurer of the Commonwealth as appropriate for receiving public moneys.
