Use of scholarship and supplemental award at out-of-state institution

An eligible student who has earned a Kentucky educational excellence scholarship, or the Kentucky educational excellence scholarship and the supplemental award, and who is enrolled in an out-of-state institution shall be eligible to receive the Kentucky educational excellence scholarship, or the Kentucky educational excellence scholarship and the supplemental award, if he or she is enrolled in a degree program in a field of study that is not available at any participating institution in the Commonwealth. Th e authority shall promulgate administrative regulations to establish procedures to designate an out -of-state institution as an approved participating institution as defined in KRS 164.7874 and to transfer to the out -of-state institution the amount of the s cholarship and supplemental award earned by the eligible student.
