Kentucky Code § KRS 161.810

Continuance of status in case of annexation or consolidation of schools

If an entire school district or that part of a school district which comprises the territory in which a school or schools are situated is transferred to any other district, or if the schools in an independent or county school district are consolidated or c entralized, the teachers in such consolidated or centralized schools employed on continuing contracts immediately prior to such transfer, consolidation, or centralization shall, subject to the limitations imposed by KRS 161.800, have continuing service sta tus in the newly centralized or consolidated school, or in the district to which the territory is transferred.
