Any person who, by threat of violence or in any other manner, intimidates or attempts to intimidate the election officers, the State Board of Elections or a county board of elections in the performance of their duty and any persons who conspire together an d go forth armed for the purpose of intimidating said officers, shall be guilty of a Class D felony.
