Kentucky Code § KRS 107.010

Construction and finance of improvements -- Alternate method authorized

Incorporated municipalities are authorized to provide for, construct, and finance improvements, as herein defined, according to the plan set forth in this chapter. The authority hereby conferred is not intended to be in derogation of any authority otherwis e conferred upon such municipalities, but is alternative and in addition thereto. If a municipality has taken any step or steps under any other law to provide for, construct or finance any improvements allowed to be undertaken by this chapter, it may aband on the procedure under the other law, if it so desires, and proceed under the provisions of this chapter, if it can do so without impairing any contractual right or contractual rights.
