(a) The department of corrections shall be required to identify, assess and monitor high-risk sex offenders in the custody of the secretary of corrections. (b) The department is directed to develop a graduated risk assessment that identifies, assesses and closely monitors a high-risk sex offender who is placed on postrelease supervision.
