(a) On July 1, 1989, the crime victims reparations board shall be and is hereby officially designated as the crime victims compensation board. (b) On and after July 1, 1989, whenever the crime victims reparations board, or words of like effect, is referred to or designated by a statute, contract or other document, such reference shall mean and apply to the crime victims compensation board. (c) Nothing in this act shall be construed as abolishing the crime victims reparations board or as reestablishing the same.
