Each person who is a member of the Kansas public employees retirement system pursuant to subsection (b) of K.S.A. 74-4999 shall: (a) Receive prior service credit thereunder for all service credited prior to January 1, 1962, under the provisions of K.S.A. 20-2701 to 20-2713, inclusive, as the same existed prior to the effective date of this act; (b) receive participating service credit thereunder for all service credited on and after January 1, 1962, under the provisions of K.S.A. 20-2701 to 20-2713, inclusive, as the same existed prior to the effective date of this act; (c) have a prior service salary thereunder which is the greater of either the amount which is provided for in K.S.A. 74-4902(27) or the compensation paid for the last full year of service as an official court reporter prior to January 1, 1962; and (d) have interest first credited to their individual accounts in the Kansas public employees retirement fund on July 1, 1976.
