(a) The department shall procure all data and other information to administer activities necessary to obtain and utilize the insurance policy provided for by K.S.A. 74-4718. (b) The department shall establish the insurable values of all property to be insured under K.S.A. 74-4718. To facilitate establishment of such values, every state agency is required to follow the instructions of the department in helping to establish such values for buildings occupied by the state agency. (c) The department shall coordinate as necessary the settlement of insured losses. (d) The secretary shall adopt rules and regulations convenient for the purpose of this section.
