As used in this act: (a) "Committee" means the nursing service scholarship review committee established under K.S.A. 74-3299, and amendments thereto. (b) "Executive officer" means the chief executive officer of the state board of regents appointed under K.S.A. 74-3203a, and amendments thereto. (c) "Educational and training program for advanced practice registered nurses" means a post-basic nursing education program a graduate of which meets the education requirements of the board of nursing for licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse. (d) "Medically underserved area" means a practice location designated medically underserved by the secretary of health and environment. (e) "Rural area" means any county of this state other than Douglas, Johnson, Sedgwick, Shawnee and Wyandotte counties.
