(a) As used in K.S.A. 74-146 and 74-147 and amendments thereto: (1) "Licensing body" means an official, agency, board or other entity of the state which authorizes individuals to practice a profession in this state and issues a license, certificate, permit or other authorization to an individual so authorized; and (2) "licensee" means an individual who is or may be authorized to practice a profession in this state. (b) All licensing bodies of this state shall have or adopt procedures for the suspension, termination, nonrenewal or denial of a licensee's authority to practice a profession in this state if the licensing body receives notice pursuant to K.S.A. 74-147 and amendments thereto.
