An applicant for licensure as an acupuncturist shall file an application, on forms provided by the board, showing to the satisfaction of the board that the applicant: (a) Is at least 21 years of age; (b) has successfully completed secondary schooling or its equivalent; (c) has satisfactorily completed a course of study involving acupuncture from an accredited school of acupuncture which the board shall determine to have educational standards substantially equivalent to the minimum educational standards for acupuncture colleges as established by the ACAOM or NCCAOM; (d) has satisfactorily passed a license examination approved by the board; (e) has the reasonable ability to communicate in English; and (f) has paid all fees required for licensure pursuant to K.S.A. 65-7611, and amendments thereto.
