(a) Any dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) sold in this state other than by prescription shall be labeled by the manufacturer and seller. The label shall contain a description of all of the contents in the solution, a statement of purity, the percent of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in the solution and the manufacturer's name and address. Whenever dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is sold or otherwise supplied, the seller or supplier shall give additional printed material, approved by the secretary, to the person receiving the dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) that provides adequate warning against use that may be dangerous to the health of the user. (b) The secretary of agriculture may adopt rules and regulations necessary to administer the provisions of this section. (c) This section shall be part of and supplemental to the Kansas food, drug and cosmetic act.
