(a) To allow a distributed energy retailer to provide informed and accurate information to a distributed energy customer pursuant to K.S.A. 50-6,147, and amendments thereto, upon request of any distributed energy retailer, a utility shall disclose all applications, rules, service standards, forms or other documents required for interconnection of a distributed energy system pursuant to K.S.A. 66-1,184 or 66-1263 et seq., and amendments thereto, or a net metering tariff that was voluntarily established by a utility, including the utility's historic amount of compensation per kilowatt hour for interconnected systems and the current compensation amount for such systems. Such historic amount of compensation shall be provided in a dollar amount and shown on a monthly or similar billing period basis for not less than the preceding five years. (b) The provisions of this section shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2025.
