Nothing in this act shall be construed to invalidate or limit any ordinance of any city in this state that grants, guarantees or protects the same rights as are granted by this act; but any ordinance of a city that purports to require or permit any action that would be a discriminatory housing practice under this act shall, to that extent, be invalid.
