Kansas Code § 3-144j

Same; advertisement for bids; sale, when; conveyance

In the event a sale or sales of such real estate or any portion, parcel or tract thereof shall not be negotiated under the provisions of K.S.A. 3-144i, then said city shall negotiate a sale or sales of such real estate, or any portion, parcel or tract thereof as hereinafter provided, but no sale thereof shall be completed and conveyance made until: (1) Said governing body shall have solicited sealed bids by public notice inserted once each week in the official city newspaper of said city for three consecutive weeks, and such sale shall be to the highest responsible bidder or bidders after such notice, except that said governing body may reject any and all bids, and in any such case, new bids may be called for as in the first instance; and (2) said bids may be for all of the remaining real estate or any part, portion or tract thereof and said bid or bids, or any one or all of them, may be accepted and resolutions accepting the same shall be made a part of the records of said governing body. If a sale is negotiated pursuant to this section, then said city by its mayor and city clerk is hereby authorized to make, execute and deliver a good and sufficient deed or deeds of conveyance to the purchaser or purchasers thereof.
