Kansas Code § 19-2655

Counties of more than 180,000 population; long-term leases of land to sheriff's posses

The board of county commissioners of any county having a population of more than one hundred eighty thousand (180,000) is hereby authorized to enter into long-term leases, not to exceed fifty (50) years under the terms of which plots of land in county owned tracts may be used by a duly organized sheriff's posse or a corporation formed for the purpose of forming and operating a sheriff's posse.
