The board of commissioners of their respective counties shall, at the expense of the county, furnish annually and in due season, to the assessor of the county, suitable blank assessment rolls for the several townships, prepared in accordance with the provisions of law, and shall also provide suitable books and stationery for the use of each of the county officers of their county, together with appropriate cases and other furniture for the safe and convenient keeping of all the books, documents and papers belonging to each of said officers, and also official seals for each of said officers, where the same are required by law.
