The county of Jewell is bounded as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of Republic county; thence west on the state line thirty miles, to the east line of range eleven west; thence south on said range line, to the first standard parallel; thence east on said standard parallel thirty miles, to the west line of Cloud county; thence north on the west lines of Cloud and Republic counties, to the place of beginning.
